Steep St. was an immersive artwork disguised as a retail store to attract diverse community members and tourists who may not typically engage with experimental public art activations. Through the vehicle of Plants, Tea, Music and Art. Steep St. explored the transformation of concealed experiences, the interplay of connections, the essence of identity in different environments, and the harmony of symbiotic relationships. Basically put, we made fun stuff happen for people of all walks to connect with. Throughout its time in Katoomba we hosted events, workshops, exhibitions in the safe and talks and community gatherings.
